Colby, in December and January, I tried for weeks on end to get any support on the OpenECU forums or anywhere else. No one wanted to help as soon as whatever simple suggestion they had didn't work.

So I'll take you up on that.

I can't get it to work even with the tactrix cable. I've emailed colby, hopefully that'll result in some progress.

Weird.

I emailed Colby and he got back to me asking for some details. All the information is off to him now, so hopefully he can help get it to work.

Colby got back to me and had me email him some information. He doesn't have a best guess at this point so he's going to do some digging and get back to me.

This OSX software is always buggy and lacking. I'm getting a used, crappy Winblows based laptop for all my data logging. Fighting with developers who really aren't interested in Mac support isn't worth the hassle.

I am interested in Mac support, which is why I bothered writing my applications in C++ instead of C#, so I could use Qt and make the software multi-platform. I have 4 Macs here, and EcuFlash runs on all of them without a problem or any special installation tricks. The only thing I can think of is that they are all running Tiger (10.4), not Leopard (10.5). I just ordered a Leopard family pack, so I'll see if that is the case.

So ECU Flash is a flashing and tuning program, do you make ECU Explorer or a data-logging program for the mac? And will the AP2 cable work for the data-logging part?

Obviously, any of us with a MBP can use some sort of virtualization to log. However, it'd be much nicer to be able to log in OS X to reduce battery consumption, CPU usage, and get half our friggen RAM back.
