Default Maf...

Hey guys I haven't been around here much lately but I hope to back soon...Anywho, I get in my car today and get a CEL and the cruise control light blinking at me. I had this happen a couple of months ago and I sprayed down the MAF sensor and erased the CEL. BTW, the code it was throwing was a P0102 if I remember correctly. Well today it threw two codes, the P0102(Low Input MAF) and a P0118(?)(High Input MAF). I tried the trick with the cleaner and the erasing but to no avail. Curious if I need to just bite the bullet and replace the MAF sensor(and if so, where do you suggest getting it from?) or if there is some trick I don't know to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

BTW I drive an 05' STI

Jon

you dont really wanna make a band-aid repair when it comes to the MAF. you can get one at a fairly decent price from subarugenuineparts.com https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/oe_parts_cat.html

Also make sure you don't damage the o-ring when you periodically clean it. It is very easy to accidentally pinch or gouge chunks out of it. I ordered a bag of 10 viton o-rings from mcmaster just in case I mess up mine, which I have done twice already.

check the wiring on the MAF. The circuit part tells me that could be a problem (stripped or grounding wires).
