Default Stage 2 questions

Ok, I know the answer must be here somewhere, but I can't look anymore! I should be getting my Cobb AP V1 early next week for my 05. ...question is: If stage 2 works for just a turbo-back, how will the same map accommodate a combo of turbo-back, fmic and cai? That is the combo I have. It seems like Stage 2 is run for any of those options...

PS I bought the car from a dealer in Jan. It runs great (and compression/leakdown tests turned out fine), so i assume that he had it tuned before and unmounted it when he turned it in. After running it for a few months untuned, is there anything I should look for as far as damage? I do not want to pay 275 dollars for a dealer to do a compression test.

It can't. you'll bust your engine. get protuned if you plan to add a fmic and cai.

If you're already running those mods on the OTS stg2 map, then you should stop and get tuned asap.

If you're stock, run the stock map. If you just have the TBE, run the stg2 map. The only exceptions cobb lists for stg2 are:
cobb short ran intake,
cobb uppipe.

beyond that the map will not be accurate, specially true for a fmic. that's just asking for serious damage.

Should I even use the AP then?? I have never tuned a car before so this is new to me. Plus, how do I know if it actually does have a tune on it now? It is possible... If I upload the cobb, will I lose the other tune (if there is one)?

As stated... stop, get a protune immediately... sucks to have to do right when you get it but.. Its only $350 +/- , suck it up and get it. Who knows what kind of tune was left on it, probably none. When I sold my bugeye, I removed my AP to sell.. basically leaving a stg. 2 car untuned. I would bet this is common practice. With you car having a FMIC and CAI??? No question, protune now!

you want the AP because that's what your tuner will use to tune you for the mods you have. the ap should tell you what map you have. I strongly suggest you take it to a reputable tuner anyways. Listen you like your car right?, why risk it when a few hundred bucks on the tune will know that it is running properly. trying to safe a few hundred may cost you thousands later.
