Default Cat Life?

Flashed stg 1 last week. Shopping a downpipe now, will not mod beyond stg 2 w/ tune. Thinking catted and used. Question is what kind of life can I expect? I want to run it 50-70K miles. Have a line on a Cobb (8k on it) and Titek (10k on it & cheap) both catted. Any experience or expectations you guys can share would be great.
Thanks

Cats are random in my experience. I have a friend with an old Nissan truck with like 120k miles and he passed HC's, CO's but failed his NOx. He replaced his car and passed them all. It all depends on the environment on the cat mostly. Read this on cats!

I'd suggest doing that soon then cause it's hard to explain it after the fact when your $2K becomes $20K.

<--- raises hand

"oh 300hp is enough"
"stage 2 is enough"
"alright, I want a tune.. but I want more parts before I do that. Ill just get a TMIC."
"TMIC doesnt do much, Ill just get headers.....and an intake"
"What? I can get an uppipe with my headers? Ok"
"What I should get a BCS before my tune?"
"Tuner recommends I should get a Walbro and plugs before the tune.. alright"

"**** I am over budget, no more parts.. alright just some lugs for a little bling. Oh and some new center caps.. BUT THAT IS IT!"

....we'll see how long this lasts after my tune.

Well I am in denial for now. Did allot of cosmetic things to make it more to my liking (wingless trunk, side markers, upgraded stereo, sound deadening in floor all doors, pass through rear seat, subie gal pod with defi turbo guage, rally sport mud flaps, rock blocker, tint, hardwired V1.

Once I get used to stage 2, that could start all over again, but for now I say NO.

Too funny.
