Default protune in Southern Ct

I am doing a stage 1 on my 04 sti. Do any of you have any recommendations regarding a shop to use? I have spoken to the guys at "The Shop" in Norwalk. Have you had experience with these guys and if you have, how'd it go?

The Shop is good. If you don't mind making a trip to XX Tuning they are good as well! Just make sure you call first and ask if Chris is going to be there.

I used the shop for my stage 2. made good numbers but it was when al was tuning there. Now Jr is there so i am not sure.

from what i understand when XX is sold Chris will be a traveling tuner setting up tunes at random shops. not sure though. however for my next tune i will be on the search for chris to do it.

I love my tune right now but I just trust chris more.

Im in southern CT as well. I go to Hugh at HiSpeed Motorsport for all my stuff (Hamden, but worth the Hike). Hugh used to work with Mitch at SpeedTechnik which was located in the same driveway as The Shop. Hes a great guy, great to work with and has always been more than fair on prices. Doubt he can do a protune but I wouldnt go to The Shop if I were you unless your sure Jimmy is going to do the work himself.

For a tune I'd go to "The Shop" without a doubt, Junior is a great tuner. Cant say too much about the labor though.

AMR westchester cant be that far away, and from what I have heard(I have no direct experience) these guys are tits when it comes to tuning and building subies. They are on my very narrow list for buying a motor from(Ron at Axis is my only other choice).

I believe Chris is going to be tuning at "the shop" with his new company. He will be doing more traveling and tuning.

Mitch was junk and a rip off. Hated going to him. most of his guys are spread around now. Some are in Milford at a tuning place I think its still speed technik just owned by one of the other guys.

The rest of them well some of them are at ICS ins Stamford another good place to go for a car tune.

however I would stick to a safe tuner if you are going to drive it. Al & Jr are a little risky and will pull more then you may need for a daily driver as far as running everything a little to strong for the street. Chris is safe and a great tunner and really will just make the car worth while w/o worrying about when you motors going to go. I would trust AMR too they have a really good rep but for around here I would single out Chris for the time.

Disagree....Mitch was a great guy, never over charged me on anything and always did great work. SpeedTechnik was one of the Top Ten VW Audi Subaru and Mitsubishi tuners on the entire east coast.(Pretty sure it was top 10, but definitely up there)
And yes, Hugh used to work with Mitch at SpeedTechnik but now it is called HiSpeed Motorsports in Hamden.

Ok guys, let tell you exactly how it is. Please, if you want to share the info, that is fine but make sure you tell the facts and not the rumors.

Facts: Yes, XX Tuning is under deposit by a new owner, the key word being "Deposit".. The sale has not been finalized, and is still under some heavy negotiation. If the sale actually happens, then there will be a post stating where I will be in the future, I will become a paying sponsor on the site and will be able to move forward with my new venture. Unfortunately, I cannot pay to be a sponsor due to a serious conflict of interest with the new owner, and I cannot post any info because the admin of IWSTI will not allow me to, which is understandable but frustrating. Those are the facts.

Facts about EFI Logics and where I will be (I hope this is allowed): Regardless if the sale goes through, I will be moving forward with my new venture under my own business name. My home base will be XX Tuning, and I will primarily tuning out of this facility for the better part of three days a week. I will be doing all my race car analysis and calibrating out of XX as well.

I have so much to say and do it's not even funny. Out of respect of the paying sponsors of this site, I will with hold saying anything until I become one. For those of you who are interested in getting tuned by me, please feel free to just call XX and setup an appointment until things change.

Thanks guys, and feel free to share this post across other boards that I do not participate in.

Take Care,

Chris
