Question Any good Stage 2 OpenSource Basemaps? Tune from stock map?

CN: Opensource maps seem to be way off from my car, and I'm looking for advice on a better map to use as a base for a street tune. Also, the Cobb Intake in my sig is no longer installed.

Yes, I've done plenty of searching on osecuroms.org and openecu.org. However some of those maps are so manipulated from my stock map, that I don't feel very confident (as someone just beginning to tune a subaru) running them as a baseline.

Up until I gained access to a LC-1, I was running my Stage 2 Cobb OTS APV1 map. I hooked up ECUFlash, pulled the ROM and loaded it into Enginuity for logging. This was when I realized that my boost and wastegate tables were being stored in ram, and I had no way of modifying them. So I unmarried the Accessport and loaded the osecuroms 05 STi Stg 2 map. This map would not build boost with any sort of authority like my Cobb map.

The next day we (my EVO driving roommate and I) installed the LC-1, and tried to verify the AFRs were okay. Well, they were, but they weren't. Hovering mostly around 11.1 with a rise to 11.4 around 5000rpm intermittently appearing with less than 15psi of boost.

This map also would not build target boost in any gear, as the Max WGDC was too low for the target. However, with a max value of 65% I was able to hold almost 15psi to 6400 and reach target boost (18psi) in the midrange. However the spool time was drastically slower than the Cobb map. My only worry is that this map was so far off that the rest of it is affected and I have little means of correcting it short of repeatedly making changes and flashing. Am I correct in believing this is not a good base to start from?

Am I better off starting with the stock map as the base? My main concerns with the other maps are more to do with fueling and timing than boost. What kind of preliminary adjustments could I make prior to the first flash if I were to use the stock map? Is there something better (free of course) to start from out there, that I'm not finding? Any input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for reading

I definately noticed the XPT map, but the price of that map, versus say buying a used copy of Street Tuner (mainly to tune on the fly, and thus avoid many unnecessary flashes) cancels out all reason for purchasing a map like that. If I were the person looking for a map to flash to my freshly DP'd STi I could see myself purchasing it, the reviews are definately good. After running Cobb Stg2, I just want a little more confidence in my tune. I think what I am looking for might not be out there, or is copyrighted by Cobb. I'm going to do some more reading before I do any more adjustments, but unless I come across a good basemap I think I will just start over with a stock map with any recommended adjustments I can find.
