Default Lamco boost guage insert?

Hi I was wondering if there is a sticker out there that you can throw on the stock lamco boost guage and have it show psi instead of MPa. Maybe an insert or something that goes behind the the needle. Does something like that exist?

This is likely the worng place to ask that question. Maybe PM a mod to move your question to a more appropriate area to get a fast answer?

I dont want to star a debate. This is not NASIOC.

But your asking about "parts availibility" not , "How do I install a Lamco Boost Gauge?"

Maybe I'm way off base. Sorry for the thread jack. Good luck. -G

edit: oops my bad...didn't notice it was moved...good luck again.

dude the moderator moved it...iono what you're talking about anymore...does anyone know if its possible to change the MPa to PSI on the stock lamco boost gauge...like possibly a ghetto mod like print out a sticker or something..okay, let me ask this...is it possible to take apart the boost gauge to access the needle area? No one else has tried this?

I have 18 PSI marked off with a sliver of tape so I know when I overboost.

18 PSI is about .125 MPa.

Google search "pressure conversion chart" and youll be able to enter your desired values in psi or bar or whatever your gauge reads and convert it to whatever you need to. Thats what I did and I just commited the conversion to memory

I took my lamco apart the other day to replace the white led with a red led. It is very easy to get at the gauge, but the problem would be getting the sticker under the needle. The needle isn't removable and is very delicate.

That's what i did sodering a larger 74 led bulb in there. It looks awesome, and most importantly illuminates the needle very much at night. No blackout.

I think it wouldn't be so hard to get the sticker on... have a circle sticker..with a little hole in the center... then cut from the outside of the circle to the center and just get it under the needle and stick it...it surprises me that there isn't already something like this put out..i might try it when i have time

unfortunatley no, i didn't bother. I had my boost guage apart, and tried the sharpie method which sucked. I had a spare red 74 led rolling around in my nightstand so i tried it on a whim, but it actully worked. I can show you pics of it at night if you want.

If you have one, sure! Thanks! I might try the Omori setup though.
