i tried hooking up my launch control through my utec but didnt read the instructions all the way through, i never disconnected the cruise control switch, now when i drive hard i lose my tune, all my gauges go crazy the speedo stops working security light flashes all the time and cant bring it past 4500rpms without backfiring . i tried putting a new ecu in today with out the utec hooked up, everything is the same.

regards to your PM

Hmm I probably wont be of any help. I have never dealt with utec before

What do you mean you lose your tune? If you hooked up wires yourself I would just double double check every connection to make sure you did not cross anything. Does your car work fine with launch control , not on?

i have to re load my tune when everything goes crazy, then it goes back to normal. i unhooked the wires and everything is the same. i think i fried something but cant figure it out i traced everything back and nothing seems burnt up. do you know what computer controls the security system or all the gauges.

3. Do not, under any circumstances, tap the UTEC clutch switch wires into the clutch
switch with the stock clutch wires still connected. Trust us, this will result in all sorts
of electrical gremlins that may well ensure your car never runs correctly again. If
you fail to heed this warning, you may as well douse your car in race gas and light it
off, because it’s as good as dead. You think we are kidding? TurboXS has no sense of humour. You have been warned.

Right from page 61 of the Utec manual. Good luck.
