$27 Ingersoll Rand EBCS same as $100 Perrin ???

Im looking at EBCS's before tuning and came across this:

Ingersoll Rand ARO Premair pneumatic systems component valve, Mfr. Model # P251SS-012-D.

More specs: Grainger Industrial Supply: Valve,Solenoid,1/8 In 6JJ52

With fittings:

Discussed on nabsico:
BEST VALUE EBCS...Perrin direct replacement $27 - Factory 2.5L Turbo Powertrain - NASIOC

It appears to be very similar to the Perrin EBCS, minus $60 and the Perrin logo. I think I am going to give it a try, any thoughts?

I have heard the Perrin one is just the IR one painted black with a Perrin logo on it... So yes, I would buy it.

Perrin ebcs = $27 Grainger/Aro Premair solenoid? Updated!

I had the GM unit installed on my car. was like $100 installed along with my tune. A little noisy at times before the exhaust noise takes over but seems to work great.
