will my sti still pass the emissions test

How is every one doing,
I was wondering if my sti will still be able to past the emissions test on stage1(Cobb AP only). No other mods.

yes it should. The only time you need to worry is when you go catless.

what about if i remove the cats in my uppipe but not on my downpipe?... i have a wrx

being in CA its probably not really smart to remove any of your cats seeing how you have stricter standards for emissions. I would find someone in a local forum and ask them they would have a better understanding of local restrictions.

The downpipe has two fat cats. So if you loose the uppipe ones I think you'll still be fine.

Or find a shady smog shop and they'll pass you no matter what.

If you have no DTC's, and have your car all status "Ready" you should pass!

Check people with your local area and ask what they look for when they do there look around

Unless the inspector is an anal retentive freak, there's no way he'd be able to recognise your uppipe cat is missing... I think with the AP you'll be fine...

If its a newer car you just have to pass an obd port read and have all go no codes thrown. and since the AP disables most codes you are ok. Only if you car is 5yr old i think you need to do the sniff test then. And that is when you find a shady shop

STi's dont have a cat on the uppipe, WRX'S do. STi has 1 on the Downpipe and 1 on the Midpipe

and you can always weld on a fake cat heatshield.
