Default CObb Ap version1 or version 2?

I found used COBB AP Version1 for $400.

Should I buy version 1 or version2 for $700?
I know there are more features in version 2..

But is version 2 worth of extra $300?

What do u guys think??

if you plan to just stay at stage 1 or 2 then i would save money and get the AP1, my AP once i flashed to stage 2 just sits in a box in my room. i have no use for launch control or flat foot shifting so unless you do the AP1 would be just fine

i agree with sti-liger... buy the version 1. i got one for my 05 for 350.00 but have seen them on ebay for around 300.00. mine sits in the glove box and has been there since i went stage 2. if you buy used make sure its unmarried from the ecu that it was originally flashed to.

Do you have gauges? If you don't the V.2 would not be a bad deal. Since it has real time data you can see what your car is doing. Other then that. I found a V.1 for 350 also comes with the street tuner part for 150. If you want his name let me know. Thanks Jeff

V1 would suffice. I'd rather have the V2 IMO. It's ran by USB instead of serial. That means if it gets knocked loose, it doesn't fry your ecu. I had short in my V1 cable and fried my ecu so i'm speaking from experience. Can anybody verify that the V2's USB is safer for the ecu? I i'm about 95% sure it is..but that other 5% is up in the wind

Yeah, the new Accessport has a recovery mode that saves alot of ECU's. more than the dealer could.

$400 is a bit steep for a V1...keep looking and get the V1

you can only go with stage 2 map on the version 2 also. They are the same maps. Cobb maps are pretty safe but if your not satisfied with them go get a protune a get more out of the Ap.

Unless you need the features of V2...then no V1 is fine.
