Default 2007 Oil Pressure Readings

I searched and found similar, but not exactly my questions so go easy on me if this is old information.

I just installed an oil pressure gauge (Defi BF)with the sensor going into the stock gallery location with teflon tape on the threads.

Cold I'm around 100psi which seems to be normal. Warmed up cruising I'm seeing 80-100psi, WOT it went a bit above 100psi which I understand is normal on the 07's. My real concern is that at fully warmed idle, I'm seeing it drop a little below 20psi. I looked at the gallery plug and it's not leaking, the oil is factory 5w-30. Is all OK with these readings?

Thanks.

Agreed, on the stock oil pump I saw about the same. With my cobb high volume oil pump I see the same on wot and cruising, but my pressure never drops below 40-50 now at full warm idle

sounds about right....

I have my alarm set at 18psi on my 05 and occasionally rolling up to a stop, I'll hear a quick beep.

Sounds safe to me. I have always heard the rule of thumb is at least 10psi for every 1000rpm. Thats a minimum though. So nothing wrong with a little more

I just hooked up my oil sensor for my Defi's today and I'm glad to see that your readings are about the same as mine. Once the car is fully warm I don't go all the way to 100psi at full WOT like you said but instead maybe 90-95

At idle I was also down to 20psi when fully warm and was a little concerned but now I feel better.

Not to hijack the thread but did you have clearance issues on yours. I have an 07 as well and right above the galley plug--which is really almost under the throttle body more than the intercooler like everybody says --there was a hose running from a nipple(not exactly sure where it comes from) up to the throttle body. When I took it off to try and get a little more room was surprised a bit when a little coolant came leaking out. Anyway the hose kinda presses up against the defi sensor. It doesn't really kink the hose but it definitely puts pressure on it. Did you have the same issue?

Whoa, I forgot about this thread. I used the stock sender location under the alternator. I didn't want to yank off the TMIC....I'm lazy. No clearance issues where I installed incase you feel better switching for peace of mind.
