IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Hey guys i need guages for my car but i really cant bring myself to spending 700+ on a really nice defi guage setup. I was looking around and i found this- eBay Motors: 02-07 SUBARU WRX STI TRIPLE GAUGE POD + 3 BLK-7 GAUGES (item 260195230894 end time Dec-24-07 19:35:07 PST) I know that your prolly gonna say its crap, but what makes them so much worse then an autometer guage or something. I mean a 3 guage pod and 3 guages for 140 bucks sounds amazing to me, or would i just be digging myself a hole? Thanks This ad is not endorsed by this member. | Junior STI Driver | yes they are crap, one simple explanation... they can risk being very inaccurate some to look at are prosport gauges, high quality they make them to match the sti cluster and good price for them |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | THis is correct. Prosports are cheaper to buy but if you are getting them installed profesionally they will cost about double what DEFI's would cost to get installed. This is from personal experience. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | okay well how do the prosports compare to the maddad gauges....arent they similar expect prosports are mad cheap? or do i need a control box for the maddads too? i think i should get them professionally installed....i mean i can picture myself installing the boost gauge but the others are much harder besides boost what other gauges should i run? |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | Could you point to a set that qualifies? Even the Defis read about 2psi high on the boost gauge. To be honest, every major gauge maker has been mentioned in the "Does your boost gauge read too high" type threads that appear every now and then. |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2006 Trader Rating: (15) | No gauge is 100% accurate. Some more than other's, just take that into consideration. My stri boost gauge showed I hit 20 psi right before I hit fuel cut. Accurate IMO, and wayy cheaper than most other companys. IMO |

i don't agree that costing quite a bit of money is one of the criteria of being a gauge. autometer makes some excellent gauges at low prices. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. | |
