hey,

i need to do a reflash for the 07 sti b/c of the ecu problems that some wit 07's have had. Just for the safe side i want to do it soon as possible so i dont have to go through the same problem as other 07 owners had.

The problem is that i can't afford to buy a cobb accessport which costs 700 bucks. I am a high school student. I have a job but it isn't reallly giving me anything.

I wanted to know if anyone in CHICAGO has a cobb accessport for 07 sti which i can do a reflash. We can work something out. Could anyone let me know if someone has it?

it doesn't quite work that way. The AP can only flash one vehicle at a time. Just go to a Subaru dealer and get a reflash. Sell some plasma or something until you have enough $$ for an AP.

Oh i didnt know that. What if i buy the cobb acessport and do the reflash. Will it void the extended warranty i have with subaru?

Hey im in the same boat. Im in college and have a job but that only covers the car payment. Lookin to do the same thing since i have the 07 and am already experiencing the talked about problems. You could always look at buying a used AP. Ive seen them in the classifieds on here. And you can flash back to the stock map just as easy so if you go in for warranty work you should be just fine. Be careful with it man thats a lot of car at 16 lol.

AP Maybe what you want but if your limited with your cash you can pick up a used ECUTEK for much cheaper than an AP. But as the other guy said above jsut get the re flash it helps a bit defintly.

if you have access to a laptop, just go open source. Only costs you the $75 for the tactrix cable and most Stage 1 maps are free.

+1, look for gabedude on NASOIC. He has put A LOT of work into his stg1 maps for the 07s, they are free too. You might not even have to buy the cable, I bet if you ask around on your local forum someone will let you borrow those.

It all depends on who you ask, and who you go to for service. But there is a very good chance stage 1 won't void your warranty. Most dealers are cool with it, since a stage 1 reflash shouldnt cause any problems.

If you are looking for an AP that is relatively cheap just look under the FS section on the forums that where I got mine

If you want an accessport I'm selling mine for the 07. $600 shipped, used it for about a month but my local tuner just got his software in and is making for better power at better prices so I wanna get rid of this. Lemme know if that works.
