IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Ok, so I picked up a used UTEC. For users or those in the know, which method of launch control do you recommend? Injection cut or ignition cut? As I understand it, ignition cut is more harmful. A result of ignition cut is dumping fuel into the exhaust similar to an anti-lag(bang-bang). Sounds really cool , but how aggressive is Turboxs's ignition cut? Will I definitely trash the car within a short period? I can also see ignition cut, at least theoretically, being better in a racing environment because with FFS enabled it will act like anti-lag when you shift giving an added effect to keeping boost........I guess........Now about injection cut. I would assume this is also called "fuel cut." Fuel cut is bad, isn't it? I thought it was harmful to the engine, and that's why we don't like boost creep Mods are a TurboXS UTEC with OTS maps and Maddad v2 catted downpipe. As of right now I don't track/drag race the car. I really just want to try out the launch control a couple times to see what it feels like, and would like more info before doing so. Any other UTEC tid-bits would be appreciated.
