Default Cobb Accessport Battery Readings

Hey everyone,

So I decided to test out my car battery. It's a brand new battery but I'm wondering if it might be faulty.

I hooked up my Cobb Accessport and set the gauge settings to battery. I turned on lights air conditions and all other devices that can drain battery and started the car.

The min/max values range is 9.44 to 14.47 according to the Accessport.

Basically I just want to know if the min reading of 9.44 are signs of a faulty battery seeing as I've only had it for 2 weeks.

Thanks!

it should stay above 12V with the engine off, with the engine running it will stay between 13.5-14.5 in a healthy charging system and accessories turned on.

The battery should hold most of that chargebwhen the engine is shut off, you can watch the battery reading on the accessport and when you turn off the engine it will slowly drop into the 12's. If it continues to drop quickly lowerthan that into the 11 and 10's then the battery is weak, and should be replaced.

Your high read of 14+ volts indicates the alternator is working properly.
