oh ok thanks for clearing that up... the guy just said it takes the dccd set on auto time to figure out the torque split so keeping it in manual is faster or sumthin like that

Question-- for a non launch control launch--when should I go WOT? before or after I left out the clutch. On Launch control, I let the clutch out till it engages a little, then back it off a hair, WOT, and release. I tried to do this w/o launch control, and I just burn clutch bad (slipping almost till redline) or lag bad. Should I blip to 4500 then let out clutch then WOT, or what?

so i just bought an 06 sti and iv been tryin to figure out the hard launches..iv never owned a turbo car or anything with awd, so this forum has been great! ok, and a quick question, if you guys are doing hard launches.... how many can the clutch take before its ephed up? or, if you do it right will that even be a problem?

Hmm I've never tried Blipping the throttle.. I still need to perfect my method all I do is Rev up to 5 and Slip in the clutch.. YouTube - STi vs EVO 9 MR
