Default Lauching with broken mounts

So this is a easy one but the last time I was at the Dragstrip I couldnt figure out why I was getting so much wheelhop, hood shaking and why my 60 ft times were so bad, I chalked it up to the fact that I can't lauch a AWD car good (times were like 1.8). Then Yesterday I went to change the oil and noticed the Pitch mount was broken in half and so I believe other mounts are broken as well, at least the rips in the hood heat shield thing makes me think it.
Basic question is so do you think I am correct and once I get the Cusco Mounts and Beatrush pitch mount installed should I have better 60 ft times and better overall times?

I would say that you are probably correct. However, when you change to much stronger mounts they flex less. That probably will transfer the stress to some drive-train components. I would launch it easy the first few times after replacing them. my .02.

Good luck

Thanks yea that is a major concern. Like they say there will always be a weak link in the system because once you strengthen one it puts another at risk. Just wonder what it will be.

The rear axles are the next weak link.

Don't worry about upgraded engine/tranny mounts.

sweet those are fun to change haha. But really with my almost 300 HP I will have to worry about axles? Or is that the problem I dont have enough power to make the wheels lose a little grip? Which would them make me break diffs and trans.

you will not break a diff or your tranny. the axles are the weakest link and probably easier to change than engine mounts.

By the way I know this is WAY off subject but I was reading a post about upgrading the your turbo and remembered you were doing your. What power did you end up making with the smaller trim turbo believe it was the .63? How are you liking it if so?

Yea if they are anything like a honda axle I will be fine changed quite a few of those haha actually did one last weekend in the civic same weekend I found out my mounts and everything on the STI was broken. I ordered them through rallysportdirect.com and they should be in today. By the way I had great customer service and very quick delivery. Just wanted to throw that out there being its hard to find any auto parts places that offer good service.

Having a kid has thrown my schedule off. It is not in yet.

This is a generic P&L GT3076R .63 dyno plot with my own Stage 2 tune added to it:

Red = loss and Blue/yellow = Gain

Thats cool, yea they definately do that. I am very interested in what you end up with. The kit seems to be very well put together and looks good on power, a huge thing to me and to the rest of the community of course is getting it in someone car and seeing if they end up with any problems whether it be the kit or results from the kit on the car. Power is one thing but reliable power is another. From what I had read on the post they seemed to have made that kit because of that fact from the other kits they had experianced and had problems with. Which is great that someone took the time to actually make a kit that adresses the problems of the customers instead of just fixing the problems of the people with the loudest mouths.

Power shouldn't cause problems. It is below the "magical" 400whp mark and since the turbo is working less hard, the charge air will be cooler. The EWG controls boost much more efficiently, extending the life of the turbo and preventing dangerous boost spikes/creep. It really looks like it will be a "safe" upgrade.

That sounds really good, safe is always key. I just want 350 and I would be fine, I just have to find a way to get there without breaking things. What size injectors are you going to be running. Also what kind of power are you making now? Assuming you are on stock turbo.

you can see my VF39 93 tune up above. my 100 tune makes 343/410 or something like that.

i will be running 1000cc injectors with the 30R. Check my journal for full specs.
