anyone else start in 2nd gear?

hey guys and gals, just wondering if anyone else out there takes off from a stop in 2nd gear? the only time i really use 1st gear is if i'm climbing a steep grade like a driveway for example, in a parking lot looking for a spot, when there are people walking around close by or when creeping in traffic to avoid having to engage the cluch every 10 seconds. i know it may be a different story with the 07 owners, with the taller gears and all, but i've never drivin one so i don't know. share your input.

ive done it a few times, most of the times unintentionally. i didnt like it too much tho, doesnt seem low enough to me... have to slip the clutch a little more than i would like to at every stop.

I usually start in 6th.

Nah, I don't see why it wouldn't work fine though. 2nd is pretty short.

It was the same way in my old Spec-V. I used to start in 2nd all the time.

I dont start but if the car is already moving faster than 5 mph ill leave it in 2nd. Its actually pretty easy to start in second but it feels like you lug the car too much.

It does work in my 07. But yeah it's a little too much clutch slip so I don't do it.

i start in 2nd gear only if im going down a hill and as soon as i let go of the brake i start rolling

I was told never to start with 2nd gear..... don;t know why, but I was told so.

Same here I rarely use second from a complete stop

starting in 2nd produces alot of bogging and struggling unless i slip the clutch longer then ussualy... i always start in first or if im rolling enough to be locked out of first, i will rev match into first...

Yeah, usually if my car is rolling at all I use second gear.

yeah if im moving at all i use 2nd and it doesnt really bog out much...if im completely stopped 1st all the time

Fun little car. That is the car that I learned how to drive stick on. I use to get her rolling in sixth all time, thinking I was in reverse.
