First off don't look at your phone when fallowing some one...

So the three of us were headed a meet after washing our cars and one of the guys said that he had to pic some one up. So the two of us desided to fallow him and all of us to continue on to the meet. Well I thought my phone rang so I looked down at it and when I looked up I saw that the other two turned right. Well I've taken corner at 50mph before so I went for it. Well what I didn't see was the sand and curb that I drifted into. So now I have to get a new set of wheels.

Well here are some Pics.

And this one

I still need to have my suspension look at. I know I'm going to need an alignment. But the the funny thing is that the curb was only three of four millimeters taller than my side wall.

That from when I was in Iraq. I would send those to my wife every other day or so. It was better than constantly telling her that I was alive.

umm, phones are a bad thing to use while driving. keep that in mind, because telling your wife you need any money for car parts is generally a bad day.

this reminds me of my slid into a police officers front yard, was with my old talon took an S-bend at 65 (marked 25) back kicked out and slid reverse through the front lawn. amazingly no damage to suspension and minor damage to front bumper, also managed to get away with no ticket. even with my new STi im going 35 in that corner now(mostly cause it claimed a life 4 weeks later)

Many years ago I was pulling my car out of the detail shop onto the main road. Made a right into moderate traffic. Car whipped like it was on ice. I turned into the slide but the car kept going straight (not responding to the left turn of the tires). Rammed into one of those industrial-height curbs which collapsed the whole front suspension (03 wrx). Had to flat bed it to the dealership, get a rental car home (200 miles) and wait about a month while they fixed the car (good as new on a 3d body jig).

What happened? Some idiot at the detailer had gotten the sidewall treatment all over the tread (over spray instead of sponging it on). Made the tires have no grip. As I made the exit, I drive across a very small stream of water that drains from the detailer parking lot.

Ice capades time!

Over cooking a corner and not paying attention is in another class of carelessness.
