Need opinions on new helmet

Hi,

Anybody use this helmet? I'm thinking about getting one. I really like the look with the peak instead of just a visor. I need some opinions. Thnx!

I think it would work just fine. From the looks of it, it looks like it would work in NHRA, SCCA or your local track days. You will just need to make sure it has a Snell rating. I don’t know off hand what the current rating is for each series. What type of racing are you planning on doing?. What would be nice about it is that you could put a visor on it if you had/needed to.

I use nothing but Simpson, but that is just me.

All I can say is you picked the best of the best when it comes to helmets. Arai is one of the best money can buy. If your gonna run this helmet in your car then I would suggest either this one or the GP5/W, which is basically the same thing bit with a visor and huge section for seeing. The reason I would run a visor one is because of sun and glare. You can buy dark sheilds if you want to block some sun out or just have it open.

All of my freinds and competitors wear Arai, so I would Highly recomend it.

you will be very happy with the Arai. I love mine...nice and light, and I know I have some of the best protection out there for my head. I have the GP-5W because I wear glasses, and the wide eyeport is critical. anyone know if i can get just that brim to replace my visor? I almost always use my helmet in a car with the visor up, so I would love to get one of those!

It might not fit on that arai model, because of the bolt position. But Im not so sure it wont fit. Give speedwaremotorsports a call and they will give you the right answer.
