Anyone have the part number for the SPT SS? I tried to inquire about it at the dealer but the parts guy had no clue. Is it C1010FE004?

Thanks!

I started out with the stock shifter on an 04 STI and it was just horrible. It was so bad compared to my 03 WRX with factory SS that my wife thought it was broken. When I let people test drive the car they always had trouble finding gears.

So I bought the SPT shifter thinking that would at least get me back to my old WRX feeling but no! It still sucked. Then I did all the TiC bushings and it started to feel quite good. To top it off I added the Kartboy short shifter and now shifting is just perfect.

If I had it to do over again I would start with the TiC super shift kit and not waste the $$$ on the SPT shifter.

The TiC super shift kit is the way to go... but there is a benefit to the OEM SS, the linkage itself is what shortens the throw, and supposedly shifts better from 5th to 6th. The only negative IMHO is the cost... although, I bought it anyway.
