I agree with above, as the first thing I notice with the 1 piece shaft is how connected my rear diff feels.
It's a nice solid feeling. But also I imagine in this case 1 piece shaft will give more shock load to the rear diff. But I hope carbon will help with flexing a little.

THE ONLY negative in my humble opinion is the increased noise... If someone knows of a way to get rid of that "chug chug chug" sound on deceleration, please let me know.

Why would a flywheel make a chugging noise on deceleration ? I've heard bov's do that, but not flywheels.

I currently run a 6 puck unsprung disc... it's just as streetable as stock with the proper pedal inputs... it's harder to drive smoothly, but that doesn't mean it can't be done.

Well I'm not entirely sure of the technical explanation but I believe a heavier flywheel helps damp some of the harmonic vibrations of the motor at certain engine speeds. When going lighter, it changes the frequencies that get damped. Just so happens that the ones that no longer get damped are very audible, at least in an Impreza. Some people can't stand the noise. I don't really mind it.
