If it is really as dramatic and it sounds and both trany and rear are full of fluid it shouldnt be doing that.
Were back where we started changing the rear fluid completely with some other type.

I'm not all too worried. Just stating my experience for the OP. I think it is just the front or center diff doing its thing.

Set your dccd to full open and conversly full lock see if it makes any difference. That should give us some idea whats going on with your center diff.

Oh and don't be son concerned with fluid temps. They do expand and such but not enough I think to throw off measurements so significantly that it would cause your current problems.

^ agreed all STIs have some dif dramatics from time to time but seems like our OP may have a real issue.

I don't think it's super big issue and the car can be driven from point A to point B but I do feel this is not normal at all and for those who are considering to change their tranny/ diff fluids make sure you make the right choice on fluids.
I'm hoping I have the write fluid. This is what I have in the front tranny/ rear diff.
Is this the right stuff.

I do not run amsoil so I am not sure but that is not 90wt limited slip oil so I would take it out of the back. Put the suby or the motul in. Im going to go change my diff fluid now. Your making me paranioid.

No- you want the Severe Gear (SVG) 75w90

You can add in some LSD modifier by Amsoil if you prefer, I did.

Hi guys.
Well I went to the Subie dealer this Monday and changed the fluid front and rear with the Japanese Fluid. The 90LSD rear fluid and the Subaru tranny fluid for the front.
Only two days driving with the new fluid and I'm still getting the gears binding sensation like it was the previous Amsoil fluid when doing tight slow circles in first gear or reverse.
Do you guys think this/bucking/binding will going away in time? I don't want to mess anything up.

Thanks in advance.

It's funny you ask that.
When the dealership was changing out the Amsoil the Tech was wondering why I had come back for another drain and fill because he was the person who filled it up with the Amsoil.
Anyways, When the Amsoil came out he then put it in a container for him to keep. He said the fluid was like new and he wasn't letting go to waist.

Even the stock fluid was perfectly clean, I was trully surprised. As far as the rear diff, it was a little dark but not much at all.

Day 3 and still bucking like the diff is stuck on off.
Any suggestions

I'd say you go to the dealer, say that this did not fix it and they they need to do more to fix the problem.

The DCCD is not stuck in off mode but when driving in first gear lets say in a parking lot going into a parking space, the car feels like the diff is set to off when its still in Auto mode. Then the car starts to jerk and make clunking noises and you can hear the gear binding and jerking.

Yes! Sorry
It pretty much binds in any setting except the very last setting in manual mode (the last green arrow). When in any other setting like the orange arrows, lock, the car clunks and jurks.
Again it only happens when making a tight turn and doing a slow speed 5mph or less.

This comes to thought though.

When I came around 15,000 miles with my Subie I complained about a notchie shifter. So they drained and filled only the front with a fluid called GM Syncromesh trannsmission fluid and it took away all notchiness of the shifter.
They even putit in my buddies STi when he complained about a grinding gear and again it totally went away with this fluid. I thinking I might need to put this fluid back in because it was the previuos fluid in my Subie.
Could this be the problem?
