Default Shifter rattles

Well, after installing my super shift set, my car was making crazy rattling noises because the reverse lockout was hitting the driveshaft. After ziptieing the hell out of it, it has 3/4 of an inch clearance from it. but now there is another strange rattle coming out of my shifter. Im pretty sure its coming from the reverse lockout ring. Anyone else have this problem? Is there any way i can stop it? thanks

wes

I slipped a piece of paper, actually a sticker backing, inbetween the shift lever and the reverse ring thing, then dabbed a teeny bit of superglue making sure not to let it get inbetween the lever and ring.

A little less than the circumference of the shiftlever(where the reverse ring slides up and down)

No. I dont have a rattle anymore....why do you think I suggested it?
