Default Default DCCD Setting

When the car's power is cycled off and on, the DCCD resets to Auto.
Is there are way to force the DCCD into Open mode all the time... besides pressing the button everytime.

You would have to reprogram the DCCD computer. IDK of any software to do this, but with enough money/time/enginuity anything is possible.

There is a switch, operated by raising the handbrake lever, which sets the DCCD to 'open' (possibly really, really open and not nannied by the computer at all). You could wire your own switch in parallel with it.

^^^^That will work, or same thing on the rear diff temp sensor would work as well. Not sure why this would be desired, though.

I noticed the car binds slightly around slow sharp corners on Auto, but when the DCCD is set to full open... the bottom circle... this doesn't happen and the car feels more predictable around every corner. A preference.

you could probably wire something up in parralell to the auto/manual switch to pulse (close the circuit and then go back open again) on startup. then you could just leave the wheel in full open. that way you'd still have the ability to put it in auto if you want, and adjust it manually via the wheel.

OK, note that "open" _may_ not actually be the same as having the diff in open. Easiest least invasive way of doing this would be a switch in parallel with the e-brake switch, as the diff will go fully open on e-brake, or a switch in series on the diff temp sensor. Both of these are failsafe modes that override the driver setting and go to an open condition. This may be a different state than the driver preference "open" setting from the dial. (especially the temp sensor method).
