Default '06 diff and axles compared to '04/'05

I tried some searches, but can't come up with a quick answer on whether there is any difference between the '06 rear diff and the axles. I just bought them ('06) for another project (going into my Datsun 510), and am just curiuos to know whether they are the same as the '04/'05 pieces.

TIA,
TK

The gearing in the rear diff is different in 06/07 as compared to 04/05 due to the different center diff gearing. Other than that, I believe the housing and axles are the same.

What is the '04/'05 gear ratio...3.90? And what's the '06/'07 ratio?

Thanks...

Hmmm...that's a toughy. I've got an R160 LSD in my Datsun 510 that's got 3.70 gears in it now. I guess I want taller gears. 1st gear seems a little low, but 2nd gear seems a hair too tall already. I have an SR20DET drivetrain. But 5th gear doesn't seem too low...I don't have a tach, so I'm not exactly sure, but 5th gear isn't ultra tall.

I've got a factory new '05 diff, or a used '06 to choose from. Tough choice. I'm thinking that I don't need to go 150 mph, and would rather skidaddle from 0-60 quicker, so maybe I'll go with the '05 diff. But...I like to cruise at low rpms too. Better sleep on it...
