I'm in the market for a new cat-back exhaust. Interested in competing in SCCA A stock class. Can't go turbo back, because it'll bump me into next class. But cat-back is ok for my class.

Been looking into the TurboXS and the Bullet 505S Titanium series (because it's lightweight, but pricey). These are just the two i've happened to see first. What does everyone suggest? What's everyone's opinions? I'm open to suggestions!

How bout the blitz nur spec R?

TXS isn't a cat-back, just a rear muffler, so it doesn't have the same benefits of a catback. I vote for the APEXi GT-Spec. Loud, obnoxious and huge, but it runs the biggest piping(3'' into 3.5'' I believe).

anyone know the differences in weight?

So, does the COBB cat-back pipe come with a resonator?

I absolutely love my apexi gt-spec catback. Very deep grumbly tone. Ran just catback for a couple of weeks before getting the helix downpipe. Just a little louder now.

Sometimes bigger is not better. An inexpensive and interesting alternative is to get a mid pipe and center pipe and keep your stock muffler when entering these time conflicts. That will require a fix, which can be easily purchased.

it seems you're really interested in the blitz (i dont blame ya). The sound is VERY agressive and the piping is 80mm (~3.1"). So it flows very very well. I will take sound cliips today (FINALLY) of the blitz nur spec with a full exhaust setup (xxtuning headers, uppipe, godspeed downpipe, blitz nur sepc R catback).

Just read my latest SCCA newsletter and it says that the event coordinators will be enforcing a max noise level of 93.0 dba. I don't get these rules! I don't know of any cat-back exhaust that stays under 93.0 dba. Just read something from the blitz home page that with their silencer on, their WRX puts out 96.0 db.
