anyone got the High flow cat version of the Cobb DP?

Does anyone know how it compares to the regular Cobb DP or any other DP out on the market?

They basically said that their catted version is so advanced and free flow that it works nearly the same as the race version. They have a huge write up on their downpipe on their site. Very good stuff.

Read the article. Sounds exciting. On the other hand I would not mind a couple dyno charts comparing the catted and not catted version

Cheers

That goes for me as well. I stick with one high flow cat. I am not so die hard that I want to squeeze every single pony out of the car.

cheers

i too want to keep a cat, mostly to help get rid of the stank from running catless.
i highly doubt it will pass emissions, but i just don't want to have to smell a full-on catless exhaust everyday

I called COBB on friday and they said that the power difference (catted vs non catted) starts occuring after 350 fly wheel hp. @ 400 fly wheel HP the non-catted puts out 5 hp more than the catted, question is if the flow characteristics will be impaired (non catted spooling turbo faster than the catted?)

What about boost creep? TBE with CAT should not have it but has any one seen it?

Good questuiot, I do not really know the answer that one, hopefully someone on the board has some experience with it, although my gut feeling tells me that even a catted aftermarket system will have boost creep (because of their free flowing nature)

Anyone here bought one recently? I ordered the catted DP 5 weeks ago when Cobb told me they were on backorder and will have them in 4 to 6 weeks. :-?

I know this Boost creep issue is very debatable. I've read it all... There are a couple of solutions. I still believe the best is proper engine tuning, this eliminates any boost, A/F issues. (creep) Many reputable tuners have been able to install a full TBE, and with responsive and efficient maping they have no problems.
I know Vishnu is one of them. I've talked to APS and they strongly recomend their plug-n-play solution. I'm sure Cobb will also follow up the exhaust with Accesport for best results. When Utec, Ecutek, Accesport, XEDE etc... become widely attainable I think this issue could potentially die. At least I hope.
Anyway... Porting the turbo is not a bad idea. It's a good fix. From where I see it; I believe that tuning is optimal.
I going to get my nomex flight suit now.

Default 350 Z trade

when talking to Cobb on the phone their answer was the same, Access port according to them will not generate any Boost Creep with a full Cobb TBE.
