IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2005 Trader Rating: (1) | Ok, all I did was change out my steering rack bushings yesterday. Afterward when I got into the car I noticed a green light blinking. Those indicator lights that go vertically on the instrument cluster that change color from green to orange to red I think. They change when you put the DCCD in manual mode and adjust manually. Well the green light at the bottom of the cluster(which is green) is continously blinking. I checked underneath today and couldn't see any problems. Anyone know what might have happened? Should I just take it to the dealer? This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

| Senior STI Driver | Are you referring to the green circle '0' which normally indicates 'open' when the DCCD is manual mode. The subaru manual indicates that this light will flash if there is a problem with the DCCD. |

| Senior STI Driver | on the 04, the dccd trouble code could be pulled by the following procedure: engage parking brake turn ignition to on set dccd to min fully depress throttle turn dccd dial fully to max, then back to min. repeat this 10 times It will flash 2x/sec if there is no trouble code If there is a trouble code, a 1.2 s flash indicates a 10 digit, and a .2s flash is a 1 digit. So 1.2, 1.2, .2, .2 would be a 22 diagnostic procedure: 1: engage parking brake 2: set dial to min 3: start engine 4: set dial to max 5: release parking brake 6: set dial to min 7: engage parking brake 8: repeat 4-7 twice in 30 seconds (will now get a trouble code display) 9: operate parking brake 10: operate brake pedal 11: operate manual mode 12: operate dial and set to max, wait 3 seconds 13: drive above 10mph for at least 5 seconds and check the indicator status light At this point if the system is happy the next ignition cycle will clear the dccd trouble code There are only 7 dccd codes, 11, 12, 13,14, 21, 22, 23. Rear diff sensor is not a trouble code, just an override condition that will clear as soon as temp is ok. Last edited by gregsachs; 02-11-2007 at 10:09 AM. |

| Senior STI Driver | I think that blinking light might have to do with more than your DCCD. I had a short in my rear O2 sensor 2 weeks ago and it blew a fuse. The bottom light on the DCCD started blinking just as you described. Replaced the fuse & the DCCD light stopped blinking. Perhaps something shorted out? |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | I just did the WL steering rack bushing and am now getting this blinking DCCD light along with an airbag light (?!?). This has been a horrible install--two stripped holes on the steering rack and now this. This has consumed most of my weekend. I've been searching on a few forums looking for this--can't seem to get a definitive answer...anyone have any ideas? Going to try and get an appointment with the dealer tomorrow. Edit: re-flashed back to stock ROM (from gabe's Stg0 R1) and am now getting a CEL along with the above mentioned lights. Car's at the dealer right now. $95 diagnosis fee (free if under warranty). Don't think it's related to the R1 ROM, but I wanted to post for comments. Edit2: Got word back from the dealer...bad clock spring...caused by me. $450 parts/labor. CEL was from me leaving the green connectors in after re-flashing. I feel like a dumbazz for both issues. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad.
