The safest way, yep. Well, besides not modding it at all I suppose.

Okay, I have ported wastegate, header, uppipe and downpipe. I still have stock cat-back. It's noticably louder now, though I have to take care of the header touching metal thing before I really go enjoy it...

yeah i too have a dp and header/uppipe. it definitely sounds different from a completely stock car, and i am very pleased with it actually, i am damn pleased with it, especially because i retain that sleeper look 8) nice and subtle rumbles!

Issue solved now. Punched it and instead of peaking at .1 on my gauge, it's between .05 and .1. Anyone know if it's supposed to peak there on an STi with removed intake silencer, Godspeed downpipe, ported wastegate, header and uppipe?

Any CEL's from the headers? I was reading on the NASIOC that headers were throwing all those CELs. Which brand dod you have if you do not mind me asking?

Cheers

mmmmm i dont think this is too good. as from what i can tell there are two options: 1. there is leak somewhere that is keeping you from hitting full boost, which by the way, should be .1 bar on the gauge. 2. your wastegate is overported. OR if you just reset your ecu, it might take a lil while for it to get used to the new settings. hope this helps..

That sucks. I'll give it time to see if it's just ECU. There are no leaks I can find. The place that did the porting did Rob's (staticx) too without problem, so I doubt they ported too much.

I've reset the ECU and it still falls two bars short of .1. Maybe the stock cat-back doesn't flow enough anymore to hit peak boost? I dunno.

drive it a bit more.....just so the ecu has time to relearn everything. if all is still not well by tomorrow, i would go over every little nook and cranny and check for leaks. and if that still doesnt prove to be the solution, take it back to where you got it ported. ive got a stock cat back on and i hit peak boost every time.

Do you have any form of boost control?
