Default cobb ss/stock subaru short shifter

hey, when i bought my 06 sti, it came with the short shifter option. i want someting different so im contiplating buying a cobb ss and a new shift knob, can i get it and will it fit onto the factory short shifter option or do i have to go by other means? and i accidently put it in the wrong section maybe. my bad

yes, it should work, the subaru ss kit actually shortens the linkage, and afik it uses the same lever, so you should be fine.

I heard only good things about KB unit, while hearing mixed opinions about Cobb. I'm going with KB

The KB is nice and you don't have to mess with it the COBB takes some time to get it in the right spot. Most people try and put it too low even thought the instructions tell you not to.

cobb ss is nice especially if you want something close to the stock or factory height(for the lazy people) but want a shorter throw .. i think if u do the install properly you wouldnt have any problems with the cobb ss also to answer your question yes it will fit and work with the sti factory ss option i do recommend replacing the bushings though
