Default is my clutch supposed to feel like this ??

I have an 06 STI with 7,500 miles and I have to let the clutch out a little more than half way before it grabs. Is this normal ???

Mine also grabs late. But from what I understand, the clutch delay valve delete would fix this problem correct? Is this a useful mod, or does it just mess things up?

mine grabs somewhere between the middle and end of pedal movement. it has been like this for a while now. seems like it's been like this since day 1.

i have never launched the car at all, nor have i slipped the clutch so bad that you would actually smell fumes from it. i have tracked the car twice already.

nonetheless, it still grabs like a champ.

i have pretty much the same miles and same year and my clutch grabs way up high . I wish it would engage sooner . I will be doing the clutch delete value. While trying to Granny shift it is so hard to keep it from jerking . While sprint driving i shift just fine . I had my Buddie drive my car that has been driving a stick for like 30 years .. And he also thought it grab a little to high . to me it hard to keep the car from jerking or a nice pefect shift from like 1 to 2 to 3 .. like under 3k . its like you have to dam near babbie the clutch

mine grabs really late also. it's almost different each day, but it usually grabs in the last quarter of pedal movement. its tough to shift really smooth (under 3k rpm, especially the 1-2 shift), if you don't slip the clutch a little more than normal, and this is on a wrx. So, it's might be worse for the STI. mashing on the pedal and quick shifting is no problem though
