A buddy of mine has a 04 STI with an unknown background, the only thing we know about it is that the transmission was replaced at the dealer when it was traded in (read: abused track car) and there is no noise insulation in the car whatsoever. Its loud inside, and its got a stock downpipe and exhaust system.

Anyays, the clutch on his car is much different from mine or any other STI i've drive. On my clutch, you can push the clutch down with abut the same amout of effort all the way down to the end. On his, its like pushing a brake pedel without the booster. Its easy at first, then it gets really hard at the end with a really stiff feel. My clutch feels feathery light compared to his. His also engages a lot sooner, a little earlier than half way point. I'm guesisng he either has an aftermarket clutch, or someone did the dslay valve delete for him.
