I've noticed it too, at 6,400 miles now. Used to engage close to the floor, once it warms up it engagement is all the way out.

It is most likely some kind of cable stretch. At least I had that problem in mustangs. I am not sure if the STi clutch is cable or hydraulic.

Most likely it is a simple adjustment to the clutch system. It takes me 5 minutes to tweak in my clutch.

Very unlikely considering that the STI clutch is hydraulic.

Look at your pedal box; the clutch linkage IS adjustable but you may get clutch slip by adjusting it too far because the clutch will always be depressed a bit. My guess is the OPs clutch is wearing thin because of agressive driving. There isn't much you can do to "fix" it once it wears down.

I think your clutch is just wearing. I have 33,000 miles on my OEM clutch with plenty of spirited miles and some launches. My engagement is as far to the top as physically possible. I am just waiting for it to start slipping.

It is a hydraulic clutch...

I just had my new clutch installed and I have not exceeded 4k rpm's since the install. (break in purposes) However during break in my clutch engages at the very top. So given that I know my clutch isnt going bad is it just a matter of adjusting? And how do I go about that? Thanks

Wow...almost 7k on the ODO on my 06 with the same issues...it engages 1/2 way up now whereas before it was 1/4. It seems to be normal though... BTW anyone notice noise when depressing the clutch? I can hear the slight VERY Slight linkage noise when I depress and let the clutch out. Is this normal? I know the STi makes plenty of noises so I'm not worried too much just wondering if anyone else has this...???

you could look into flushing the clutch cylinders,
the master and the slave with new fluid.

it wouldn't hurt..

I had this done when the clutch was installed. So there is no way of adjusting the engagement that anyone knows about?

Yeah, look underneath your gas pedal; there is a lever arm there that can be adjusted. If you mess with it though you might have an effect similar to resting your foot on the clutch pedal all the time; I.E. it never fully engages so it will tend to slip.
I wouldn't mess with it unless I was sure that the problem was with the engagement itself as opposed to the clutch wearing thin.
