chattering noise

Hi, here is my problem, I would rev my car to 5000rpm and when my RPM gauge reads around 3000 to 2500 ... I would hear a chattering noise from the tranny dept... in gear or not I would hear the samething .... so I am assumming its not the tranny problem but more of the clutch or ..... ?have you guys run into any problem like me? any advise will be really helpful. thank you in advance.

i ran into a chattering noise not long ago,same thing when you revgved to a certain RPM(between 35k and 4k) you would hear this annoying grind. well i too thought it was my tranny but then guys on here told me it could possibly be my heat shield on my upppipe because the welding breaks sometimes. and yep it was that.

so you might wanna try and look into it. dunno if thats your problem but its a possibility as i hear its a common problem.
