I guess my next question is who can I trust to service my car in the future (NY-Queens area)
Yourself.

There's two places that work on the TiC cars. TiC and P&L.

I tried to go to Motul's web site to look at their oil selection and it seems they are more interested in flash websites than selling oil. None-the-less I was unable to get any info nor was North America or the US an option to select.

Thanks for all the great info - I am at 3900 miles and I am going to go with the Gear 300.

As for the rear diff, someone above mentioned using the Motul Gear FF instead of the PA-90 because it met the correct specifications. Does anyone have any information on this?

Got a can of this in my garage:

Can't wait to put it into both my cars. A friend of mine has already used some and he's very happy with it.

just changed my oil w/ gear300! Seems to shift a lot smoother and a smidge easier to get into reverse. The real challenge will be track day this weekend!

Also did rear differential with pa90

Am I the only one who likes the smell of gear oil

I can't stand it. I walked into the shop this this past Tuesday after doing a trans and diff fluid change on Saturday and trans removal on Monday and could smell nothing but gear oil. I almost turned around and went home.

I swapped out to the Motul 300V today from Amsoil SVG.

I'll give a report after I get some driving under my belt about the two.

I did a complete swap on both dropped the pan and cleaned the magnet under-neath.

It should be interesting.

Just got done with track yesterday. Gear 300 is awesome. Smoother crisp shifts/down shifts, all the way compared to stock fluid

Got probably 60 miles today on the Gear 300 vs the SVG.

The SVG had 15-20k on it, I gotta say that the gear 300 does seem better. This could be impart to the fresh fluid.

On my 04 Transmission, I have zero grinds, 80,800 miles and its been babied just about all of them.

I also have the kartboy SS with all bushings down.

1st to 2nd was previously "knotchy" is the best way to describe it, its less knotchy, third to sixth are as smooth if not more then before.

Reverse does engage easier.

I think 300 Gear is as far as you can take a 75w90 GL5 oil for our cars at present time.

If the fluid stays this good, I will continue to use the motul in place of the SVG from amsoil.

Just got a 6speed on my WRX. Drove around 200 miles on it since sunday, and I'm using the Motul 300 fluid in the box and the r.diff. It works well for me, no grinding, and pretty good shifting all the time.

I switched to the 300 a couple weeks ago.
If anything its slightly harder to get everything into gear. Everything feels stiffer.
Didnt help me get into first easier in the mornings like id hope aswell.
Gota say not horribly impressed.

Think ill try Extra S next time.
