Default launch noise

ok so i have looked around and i seem to only find people that have a loud noise in the back

my car was launched for the first time on sat and i got some wheel hop and heard 2 loud thump noises from the frount of the car, so we tryed it again and it happend 3 more times after that .. i also heard some clanking noise in the rear but a few people have said not to worrie or to change the rear diff mounts.. does any one else have this problem? and if so how did you fix it or should i let it be?

why would you try it again after you heard two loud thumps.

engine mounts perhaps?

Exactly what I was thinking!

When were you hearing the "thumps"? Right when you launched, or while you were driving?

would lean towards checking the mounts to just to be safe. weren't the 06's switched up to the crappier mounts?

Probably the rear diff.

TIC makes new bushings and stuff that removes that clunk. Check them out.

i almost guarentee its the engine mounts, they are pure crap, the early 06's came with plastic fluid-filled mounts. check them first.

Is there anyway to visually see whether or not they are the fluid filled mounts?

There's a thread on here somewhere that has pics of the crappy plastic ones, and the old style goodness. Once you see the pics you'll be able to easily tell which you have in the car.
