IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2006 Trader Rating: (15) | I need to know the type of flare fitting that Subaru uses for the clutch MC and SC. Is it a standard 10x1mm metric flare? What is the angle? 45 or 37 degrees? I am able to put a 10mm wrench on it and the threads look to be the same diameter as the head... and my Honda used 10x1mm flare nuts... so I figure Subaru being Japanese, would use the same... from my EYE, It LOOKS like 45 degrees, but I can't tell for sure. I am getting inlinetube.com to make a custom SS line with flare nuts on the ends... this will allow eliminating of the hardline, the bracket on the firewall, and the rubber hose for weight savings (I estimate 0.5 lbs if you take into consideration fluid)... all the components will be replaced with 1 stainless steel 1ft long flexible hose from the MC to the SC!! once I get the information, all of you will be able to order the exact same hose for about $33! So please, if anybody knows a Subaru Master Mechanic or has any way of getting this info, please let me know... This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad.
