| Amateur STI Driver | I recently changed the clutch on my '04. I did it myself. The new clutch is working great, but... I noticed there is an oil leak on the front left axle, where it goes into the tranny. During re-assembly i noticed that the sheet metal lip on the axle end (green part) was bent. I did my best to put it back straight, but now it is leaking. I will take it out again and check if there is a problem with the seal, but if not...what are my choices? do I need to replace the whole axle to solve this (hope not)? Also, can I replace the seal on the tranny without removing it from the car? Thanks in advance This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. | Amateur STI Driver | Can anyone recommend an online source to buy the drive axle seal? I tried the Subaru dealer here in Guatemala, but they have to bring the part from the US and it takes forever. Part number will also help. Thanks a lot This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
