Default Noisy DCCD???

Is normal to the DCCD to make audible noise while making a U turn inside a parking structure at a very low speed??? I've heard felt from the inside the feeling at the steering wheel on tight turns, but I heard a clunking noise while the windows were down. Is this the DCCD???

I belive it's the lsd diffs "clunking" with sharp turns. I hear that too all the time.

I've been getting a clunk in 1 and 2 at low RPMs due to the drivehsaft moving too much under the car. It makes a rumble and clunking sound that at one point you could feel under the seat. It's almost been completely corrected but now I get a similar problem at higher RPMs in 5th and 6th. See if your carrier bearing/bushings are shot. Mine was the mounting bracket for the tranny as well.

hope this helps

All AWD cars have bind up, it shouldn't be excessively lound, more like a faint shudder.

That happens to me also brother, I've heard that AWD cars are more noisy than FD or RD. Also when you launch the car a little bit harder, it sounds too.

Is the rear differential (the one on the STi) supposed to make noise when the tires are rotating at different speed, like when doing a low speed U turn?

Mine does not make any noise when the speed is over 5 to7 mph, but from 1 to 5 mph it makes a very low metal noise (nothing ugly) just weird.
