Can't you just go drive your car at 60 in 3rd gear and find out?

My clutch is fine. This is more about shift points for drag racing, but for some reason I thought it belonged in the drivetrain forum. I guess because I was hoping there is some formula that calculates RPM given: 1) MPH, 2) Gear Ratio, and 3) Gear

I can't (well its not that easy). I live in manhattan and park in a garage. Getting my car out of the garage in the middle of a weekday (work hours) can take 30 min+ and thats not counting the 5 min walk to my garage in the 40 degree weather.

Than getting the STi up to 60mph during work hours inManhattan traffic is a whole other problem.

There's a nice graph in this thread. Surprisingly enough, it was the second entry when I searched on "speed gears ratio". Looks like 60 mph in 3rd gear is about 5600 rpm.
