Default Problem with cobb SS

I recently purchased a Cobb SS and Cobb bushings for my 06 sti. When I had it installed the mechanic at my local shop told me that there was a problem with the reverse lock out cable. I think he said it would not reach or something on those lines, but Ican not remember. He sent it back to Cobb for them to look at and it is currently in cobb' hands right now. Now im woundering if my 06 sti has a 05 tranny on it because I read an article saying that if ur transmission is green its a 05 or if its gold its an 06. I dont know if that is correct or not, so im up to suggestions on what to do.

The linkage colors may have been different between the two years.

The STi short shift linkage is green, the stock linkage is gold (at least for 04/05).

Your mechanic probably didn't have the shifter set to the lowest height when trying to connect the reverse lockout. As far as I know the Cobb SS is not year-dependent.

he probably didnt take the tension off the cable by placing a pin into the hole on the tranny

Yea, are you sure the put the allen wrench in the reverse lockout cam? I just put a COBB SS in my 06 STi and I dont believe there is any different shifters for the STi. They are all the same.

They are slow with new stuff, I haven't dealt with them for replacements (or with new stuff, for that matter).
