IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | Well, I just hit 36k in my 05 STi, and have been stage 2 now for around 4k miles. The day I went stage 2 is when my clutch was noticably starting to slip in the higher gears, 4th+. Well, I'm now at the point where is slips EVERY gear, and not minimal, I'm talkin it slips to redline without grabbing at all. So, I'm in the market for an ACT Street clutch and getting the stock flywheel resurfaced. Everything + instal is going to cost be just around $1k, but this does include warranty since it is being bought and instaled at the same shop. Does anyone on here have the ACT street? I have a couple of friend, including a buddy with a GT35r on a 2.5 bottom end making over 400 awhp and has had the clutch for months and months now, with many of launches and still no sighn of slipage. | Silver Member | I just went ahead and got the ACT Heavy Duty Clutch Kit (SB4-HDSS) includes the street disc. I got that on ebay for like $550 and had it installed at my dealer with the Flywheel cut for... it was under $600. I wish I would have went twin disc and been done with it. For some reason no matter how i start out.. feathering, launching, slight slipping it seems to burn when i start out in first. :-/ but atleast it doesn't slip. |
