i am looking for transmisson changes to raise first and second gears mainly to elinate two shifts between 0-60 any ideas thanks

I don't believe you can really modify the tranny, at least not without someone who REALLY knows what they're doing.

It's already pretty close to 60 though.... somewhat larger tires might do the trick. Of course your speedo will still lie.

It would take a gear swap, of course, and I'm not sure what the alternatives are for the 6MT. I've heard about shorter JDM 5th/6th (1:1.062 & .842:1), but nothing about 1st/2nd.

I really like a speedometer fix.

you could always change your final drive ratio. royal PITA, but probably easier than trying to swap gears in the tranny.

also iirc there are some companys in australia that will build custom ratio transmissions for the 5MT, maybe they could do something for the 6.
