so in the rain should i lock the diff. or leave it in auto. the reason i ask is because last time i left it in auto i made a left turn in 2nd gear going through a puddle and i spun out. and yes i was testing the limits of of the auto mode. i never had the chance of trying it again in lock. so what do you guys do in the rain. lock or auto.

i acutally use lock in the rain because it helps the tires from slipping for no reason and seems to be much more stable..

unless it's in my head, i would drive with it on and then with it off and would see improvement with it on (i feel safer with it on).

You will fry your diff if you do it much on pavement and are going around any corners.

BINGO... don't blame the dccd, or try to fix spinning out with adjusting the DCCD.. You had NO experience driving the car AND you were on SUMMER tires in the RAIN... No brainer.

In the rain I set it 1 or 2 notches below lock. It seems to be much more stable when I hit a large puddle or in very heavy rain. Just don't forget to set it back to auto or open when making a sharp turn or it will make some nasty noises.
