IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2006 Trader Rating: (5) | I finished the install last night and was too tired to drive around. SO I got up this morning and took it for a spin. OH my lord. It feels like my solid mounted vw bug. When it was turning over on start up you could feel each compression stroke through you ass..lol. Idle is very lumpy so far. VERY lumpy. Theres no way your girlfriend wont notice. NVH is insane. drivetrate slop has decreased(by my estimation)about 100%. Shifting up or down, rev matching and double clutching are all easier to execute smmothly. When you are at WOT you can really hear that motor singing through the mounts. Its very noticable. Especially when the motor in decelerating. I love them This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. Last edited by flatthump; 12-13-2006 at 12:46 PM. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2006 Trader Rating: (5) | ![]() Yes I daily drive the car. But I have come from a backround of really uncomfortable cars so the NVH aint nothing to complain about. It tool me three hours. Start to finish. They definetly are too much for the street. But that's fine with me. Ill see plenty of track days. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2006 Trader Rating: (5) | The NVH has diminished almost completely during cruising. During idle its still a little lumpy but not nearly as bad as the first morning I tested them. I cant see myself without these mounts now. Going very very slow is much easier to accomplish smoothly. For instance cruising in the parking lot in 1st(especially over really uneven pavement)no longer creates the car to 'jerk' forward--aft from drivetrane slop. Traffic is much easier also. Definitely a worth while mod. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (11) | we're talking motor mounts right? i want to get them also, my motor flexes so god damn much that i hate to watch it...makes the intercooler piping vibrate on things etc. and nuts coming loose. |

| Professional STI Driver | I really want these! I had stiffened motor mount inserts on my Celica and they were awesome! I can only imagine how nice solid mounts would be! My first priority this spring is to stiffen up the drivetrain. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 Trader Rating: (5) | I had these on my st.4 wrx and am looking forward to putting them on my 06STi. Got them waiting for after break in miles. I found once I was fully catless(very loud exh) I felt every pulse. These are waaayy more stiff than group N mounts. I had them(group n) initially but was disappointed as there was still excessive drivetrain movement at throttle on/off. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2006 Trader Rating: (5) | I forgot to tell you I had to flip around the metal shifter tray(that secures the rubber seal separating interior from exterior) because apparently the engine didnt want to settle where it did with the stock mounts. This caused the shift arm to contact the shifter tray while putting it into 1st gear. Im not sure if this is common or not but now you know to look for this......flipping the tray(and cutting the tabs off) completely fixed it.. This ad is not endorsed by this member.
