Default Really Loud Buzzing/Vibration

So I've had my cobb ss and tic/kartboy bushings on for a few weeks now and haven't had any problems until tonight. I was driving around and in higher rpms the shift knob felt like it was vibrating really badly and there was an aweful buzzing sound coming from the shift lever and/or shift linkage. This happened even when I put the car in neutral. I could just sit at a light and rev the car up to about 5k and just feel this constant buzzing and vibration.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I put a zip tie on the reverse lockout to make sure it didn't hit the driveshaft.

Considering it makes the vibration and noise in neutral, I know it's not the driveshaft.

i would still zip tie the reverse lock out cable to the shifter stay above the driveshaft if you didn't do it during the install.

Make sure it's not the knob rattling. Yeah, I know it sounds dumb, but the pattern on the 05+ knobs are sometimes a little loose can causes noise.

If that doesn't do it then do double check the zip ties. even if it's in neutral that cable can transmit vibration.

I put a zip tie there when I installed everything.

I don't think the shift knob is capable of making this much noise. I'm gonna try and get under the car tomorrow and check things out.

I might try some of the other ideas in there first. The thing is mine makes the sound in any gear and even in neutral.

Thanks for that link though.

My shift knob rattle is loud enough to be heard with music on and playing loud.

does the noise or vibration get louder with acceleration, or is it just constant?

i've got a rattle that occurs occasionally in 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear. mine isn't the knob or the lock-out cable, so there's definitely something else that rattles in the system.
