It gets louder at higher rpms. There is no noise or vibration below 3k.

I'll knock that theory out on the drive home by taking my shift knob off.

it's possible that it could be the driveshaft? When did you start to notice the vibration/noise? do you have stiffer bushings on the tranny and rear diff?

It can't be the driveshaft, it makes the noise in neutral, hence the driveshaft is just sitting still. I don't have any other bushings besides the Kartboy Front, TiC shifter and pivot.

I'm gonna do some tests tonight and get under the car tomorrow. I'll let you guys know if I find anything out.

Well, I figured out what the buzzing/vibration was. It was the reverse lockout ring vibrating against the shift lever. I just gave the base of it a couple of clockwise turns to tighten it up and no more rattle.

Thanks everyone for the help though, IWSTI love.

Can I get a little clarification on tightening up the reverse lockout ring. I don't see how it can be tightened up.

Thanks

I tried explaining it to someone else and they didn't really get it either. Somehow buy turning the silver thing at the base clockwise it got rid of *most* of the noise. I suppose you just have to play around with it and figure out what makes it stop.
