| Junior STI Driver | I talked to a rep. from Turbosmart over the weekend about the new Turbosmart E-Boost. It is a very compact boost controller and supposedly eliminates boost creep. not sure if it does, but he claimed that it would only creep .5 PSI at the MOST. it didnt really make sense to me cause the reason it is creeping is physical (wastegate opening not large enough to "waste" enough exhaust gas). the E-Boost controls when the wastegate opens, so i dont know. could it be possible to eliminate boost creep (and by eliminate i mean minimize) with a boost controller? the only thing i can think of is open the wastegate sooner, but that would take it that much longer to hit full boost. anyone have any ideas? or is anyone using the Turbosmart E-Boost?? thanks in advance. | Junior STI Driver | I haven't read any reviews on the turbosmart. Boost creep is a physical property related to wastegate flow. I'd imagine you're right, herecomesboost. It will open the hole prematurly which will still give you creep but it will be less. I've heard of people still getting fuel cut with an EBC so turbosmart may have similar results. If your boost creep is not that bad an EBC or turbosmart's product may be enough. Uberwagon- get that puppy ported! If you don't want to do it, PM me and I can see about having the STi mech. do it.
